Laeeq Ahmad is a Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon serving primarily the Greenbelt/Lanham area. Dr. Ahmad has been serving the surgical needs of patients in the region for over 20 years. His quiet reserve and diagnostic abilities have earned him the respect of patients and peers alike. He has active staff privileges at several major hospitals of the area and currently is the Chief of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Doctors Community Hospital.

Dr Ahmad received his education abroad and in America. After completion of medical school, he served as the Medical House Officer for Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. In America, Dr Ahmad completed residency programs at Medical College of Pennsylvania and University Of Kentucky Medical Centre. He holds double board certification in General and Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. Dr Ahmad holds membership in the American College of Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians and International College of Surgeons.

Dr Ahmad and his family are Maryland residents and are active with many activities particularly involving their five children. Dr Ahmad is multi-lingual.
